I hopefully will have the newly acquired alloys fitted tomorrow with some new Hankook tyres from site sponsors EPT Tyres.
I'll be running them for a few weeks with the big center caps but I will be fitting them later with some custom made MINI wheel badges which are being made for me specially by a very good friend in the UK.

My newly acquired alloys all fitted and with New Hankook boots :)
I'm delighted with the new look and they'll look even better with the centre caps fitted soon.

By the way, fabulous deal on the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 205/45/17 in EPT Tyres Ballincollig for Mini Club members. Just €120 fitted & balanced !

I'll be fitting the centre caps as below soon, just waiting for custom made MINI badges for them so ignore the glue stain in the centre :

Ferg

Looking forward to seeing how you finish off the caps.

Are the rover wheels any lighter than the usual mini alloys?

Regarding the Hankook EVOs, I put them on my last Clubman, they made a huge difference over the run flats which were very harsh and tramlined too often. One my current car the run flats are not nearly as harsh, just does not get on pot holes or cats eyes, not sure if it down to not having the oem sports suspension or different brand of run flats. Will definitely change to non run flats when these wear out.

Did you get the 84v tyre or the 88w XL tyre?

Hi Gerry ;)

Yes they are lighter.
They are 9.1 kg a wheel so saving about 1.3 kg a wheel on the OEM wheel.
As far as I think any make of runflat would be the same regarding the poor ride.
I actually think the recent one's I bought are the 88W XL but I previously had the 84V version. I can't see much difference in them to be honest.
