We are delighted to announce a new Mini Club of Ireland discount with MX Valeting for FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS.

A couple of our members have got their MINI's detailed by MX Valeting of late and are full of praise for the outstanding work they do and their professionalism.

They offer a wide variety of services for all budgets and are also mobile so can come to your house to do the work if you so wish.

They are based in Templeglantine, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick but the owner, James Downes has customers from North Cork, Kerry & Clare.

I myself am getting my MINI Cooper S detailed shortly also.

You can check out his website at http://www.mxvaleting.ie and he can be contacted on T: 087 7921 904 or at jamesdownes12@gmail.com

All FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS have to do is produce and show your CURRENT VALID Membership card to avail of an excellent 10% off his detailing services.

For this sort of discount, it makes joining the Mini Club of Ireland as a FULLY PAID Member for just €20 a year exceptional value !

I detailed this back in December last year.
It was in for a full exterior detail: http://mxvaleting.ie/detailing/

Image

Image

All surfaces, nooks and crannies got an intensive wash and clean.

Image

Image

Wiper blades ware also washed and cleaned.

Image

The paint was clay barred next. The roof and booth lid ware very contaminated.

Image

The wheels ware removed to gain access to the wheel arches.

Image

After a wash and clean with G101 and wheel cleaner for the brake assembly.

Image

Plastic arch liners ware dressed and restored.

Image

Image

Next the wheels ware deep cleaned and iron contamination removed.

Image

Image

Image

Image

De-taring the wheels.

Image

We are now left with a nice clean surface ready to wax.

Image

Image

We sealed the rims front and back with Collinite 746s.

Image

The exhaust tip was in need of a polish and clean.

Image

It came up nicely.

Image

Image

During the machine polishing stage.

Image

Left side is the polished paint.

Image

The finishing polish we used by machine.

Image

Some random reflection shots.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

I sealed the paint with Werkstat Jett which was poly charged before application, Collinite 746s was then applied over that.

Thanks everyone for looking, I do love working on minis and have a good system for making them Look, Smell and Feel like and in some cases better than new. :)

I am happy to answer any question.

Thanks for posting all the photos James.
It really shows just how much work goes into getting them detailed to perfection.

Wow those MINIs look amazing! I love doing my car myself but I am nervous of some of the finer details that you do that really make a detail like clay bar, tar removal, alloy iron removal etc.
Could you come to cork should a few members be interested in valets the same day?

Clay baring can make a mess if you don't know what you're doing, it can in the worst case cause scratches.

Ya I would come to Cork no problem :1icon_cool:

We detailed Fergals Mini Last week :)

First the car was washed, de-tarred, clay bared and the iron contamination was removed seen in this picture.

Image

Making sure all the nooks and crannies got attention.

Image

We then dried the car ready for paint touch ups and paint dept and defect inspection.

Image

We filled the holes where the number plates ware mounted as they would have started to rust.

Image`

Image

We tape up all plastic trim as they could get stained during the correction process.

Image

Paint corrected and no swirls visible.

Image

Carbon fiber also corrected and is left defect free.

Image

We removed the fuel filler recess cover to hand polish it.

Image

Fitted back in place and looking good

Image

Swirls before correction.

Image

After.

Image

Swirl free finish.

Image

We coated the trim in Gtechniq C4 which last for up to two years.

Image

Polish Angel was used to refine and seal the paint after correction.

Image

Nice deep gloss.

Image

Image

We polished the door handles also.

Image

Image

Image

Finished product.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Wheels ware removed to clean, de-tar, de-irionize and wax.

Image

We polished the brake calipers also.

Image

the tyres got three coats of dressing over a four day period.

Image

the engine was cleaned and dressed.

Thanks a lot Derfinn.

As it's a bigger car, yes. The best thing is for me to view the car and see what needs doing first.

Where are you from.

I'd highly recommend Jane's work. Well worth the trip to him to get your car to this standard.

I sealed Fergals BMW Mini Cooper S with a combination of Polish Angel, Esclate Lotion and Master Sealant after a full correction detail.

The car will be much easier to wash and keep clean, also the protection Master Sealant create will protect the paint from from the environment.
