Masterbiker's R56

I thought it was about time to start a new thread for my R56.

The first mod, is a simple one. Fitting some JCW chequered mats that I have. They are actually R50-53 version. Nothing some scissors couldn't fix!

I shall give them a clean very soon.

I am betting that the rest of the car is not going to stay factory for long :)

Thanks guys. First weekend so I was able to give her a good scrub inside and out. I have also removed the grill in the bonnet scoop. To Let some of the heat from the turbo escape a bit better.

Another mod done. All the interior bulbs, including the door lights with bright white LED's. The difference over the normal bulbs is really quite stunning. My phone can't seem to take a decent picture of it, so you guys and gals will have to see it in person one night :)

I got them from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINI-COOPER-R55-R56-ERROR-FREE-WHITE-INTERIOR-CAR-LED-LIGHT-KIT-set-11-bulbs-/251241340177?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a7f269d11

I have managed to fit the 50th anniversary gear knob to the R56 with a little modification. It was basically just to drill and tap a hole so a grub screw could hold it on.

I've not done anything to the car for so long, but today not only did we get the viper stripes put on Christines F56, I fitted my own graphics to the roof and stole Oliver's idea for graphics on the pillars of the car.

I'm only having them on the C pillars at the moment. I need to get replacement covers for the A pillars, as they were not put on properly when my windscreen was replaced earlier in the year. So some of the tabs that hold them on are broken.

It has been a while since I have done anything to the car. Today I installed a new handbrake cover! Custom engraved by Doug Whalen to match the 50th anniversary engraving on the gear knob :)
