I drove a classic today ...

Tornado Red Sport Pack belonging to Ger O' Leary ... it demolished everything on the road, ferocious noise from the engine, and a huge grin on my face. Who says the new MINI has nothing in common with the old?

Owen, I dont think you have any idea of what car can do, becouse the roads hear are just too bad. I was in the U.K. with Ger to pick this car up. Now I am quite used to classics and have owned some very quick ones, but I never saw anything like this thing, let me put it this way, we were under a bit of pressure to make the ferry for 6:30 due to traffic and a bit of a shopping spre at the biggest outlet center in europe (where I picked up some Hillfigger and Calvin K.) I was leading the way and setting the pace and our E.T.A. was tight so I put the shoe down. Now I know the road fairley well at this stage and knew that there were no bad bends comeing up (not like over here) I looked at my clock and I was at 104m.p.h. when this thing shot past as if I was stopped. I reccon 115m.p.h. I think Ger made the right choice when he would'ent leave me drive it, he more than likely saved my life. Thanks Ger I owe you one. But whoever buys that car is one luckey fuc#er and if I had the money in the morning it would be me

Sounds like great fun 8) You can't beat a classic on some twisty roads, it's too much fun :D

Whoever buys it will be grinning a lot by the sound of it :D
