thats not easy mate

you will need to
1... ring Shannon and get them to send you a form to replace the log book
2... go to the gardai and get them to stamp the form
3... find a lawyer and sign an affidavit to say that you bought the car and saying they never sent the logbook to shannon.( that should only cost you about 20 euro)
4...send all paperwork to Shannon and wait.

hope this helps

gl with that

Thanks brian008. Big help. Was told a comissioner for oaths can do the
same affidavit... Hopefully.

Hi , There are NO Rover dealers anymore , Rover went into liquidation in 2005 . I would think if you get the previous owner to fill out a change of ownership form to you and you include a 'lost' document form ( in your name ) with this and send to Shannon I am sure they will issue the replacement directly to you . if the previous owner refuses to co-operate just tell him "thats fine you will be getting all the parking and speeding fines I don't care really " and I feel he will be happy to fill the form !!!!
