busted windscreen

hi all
i have a busted windscreen and im getting crazy prices for a new oem one fitted they range from 550 in sligo to 800+ in athlone and 650 sterling in the north i dont want to go to autoglass as i want an oem one . my cooper s has vis pack so this screen is heated is there anyone know where i could get one at a resonible cost maybe a site sponser can do anything my insurance will pay 400 euro which isnt bad
any help would be good thanks a million

I will check with our supplier Today but € 550 sounds about right for a heated screen fitted .

I got mine fitted not so long ago & it was 420 through insurance, not heated though!

Be careful who you go with - get some assurance that they know how to tackle a MINI windscreen.
Sounds like you have may have an R56 S so maybe the windscreen setup was changed, but windscreen fitters have a bad track record on the R50/R53 models.
Many reports of them making a liathroidi of the plastic A-pillar trims and the chrome trim at the bottom.
Have a serious look over the car before they go if you can, or as soon as possible after...

The correct genuine screen is 'costing' us over € 420 and thats just supply . I think if you have a price of € 550 fitted go with that .

Sounds average to me too. A friend of mine recently got his non heated 911 windscreen changed for 1300 Euro. Makes 550 seem alright eh??
