Walkie talkie's?

If I were to get a walkie talkie for this years runs, is there any particular make/model I should go for to make sure they compatible with everyone else's?

Most of us picked up ones from Aldi or Lidl. All should be compatible once they are all on the same channel on the day ;)

Some even have Wilkie talkies they don't know how to use :(

Ok, so had a quick look in the local aldi and they didn't have anything, checked argos and maplins and they were silly prices. Maplins cheapest was €66 and ou can get the same one for £15 from amazon (granted I don't know if it was a single radio or a twin pack from amazon). Since the range of the binatone 100 is just 3km, I went for a Binatone Terrain 550. Hopefully it works well, as I know how spread out our processions can get :)

Yes that means me ☺ I have Magicbox Long Range two way private mobile radios-Pebble Twin. I keep forgetting to bring them on runs!!
