Be wary of the 4 Spot Lamps, they were officially never supposed to be fitted at MINI Dealers due to their restricting air flow significantly.

I'm actually eager to check out this sd engine. I was helping my mother there a few weeks back to pick out a new car and one of the cars she was looking at was the coupe sd but i never got to drive it as she was put off by it being a 2 seater. Turbocharged minis are actually pretty good on petrol after my experience with driving vw's all my life so i can only imagine how pleasant it must be to drive an sd with all that power and a diesel engine to keep petrol costs even lower again.

To be fair to the normal R56 S, it's a frugal enough engine. I did one MTI 3 day tour in an R53 JCW, and one in an R56 Cooper S. The R56 used about 1/3 of the petrol.

The SD is a great engine.

Yes, don't get me wrong about the R56 S. It was very frugal, in fact it was just as economical as my first MINI, my 2004 R50 Cooper!

But, this is all going off topic!
