hi i bought mini but still waiting for tax book the person said he lose it and trying to get another one what happens if he doesnt get it can i do any check on my shell myself

where is vin plates on 1982 mini

I think it should be on the left hand side of the engine bay on the inner wing

The previous owner is responsible for the reg doc or log book . Make sure you let them know you want a replacement one NOW , its pretty straightforward they need to download the relevant form RF134 , this can also be got from any Garda station or tax office . a quick call to the DOE in Shannon will tell you the current status of the vehicle .

i think i have found vin number it has 9 digits with 3 letters. 2 letters at start and 1 letter at the end
