Remaps for R55/56/57 via OBD port

Postby irlmin » Wed Sep 05, 2012 7:14 pm

We can now remap MINI R56 series cars via the diagnostic port . this has been standard on R50/53 etc but is now available to R56 owners , increases in Power / Torque and efficiency , Cooper S turbo from 175 bhp to around 210 and torque from 240 nm to 310 nm . as always special prices for MCOI members and of course R50/53 remaps are always available . most successful is of course the R50 MINI ONE which from a standard 90 bhp is transformed by our remap to almost 130 bhp .

Well that is the best money I ever spent !!!!!

I got a remap from O'Leary's Garage today on my recently acquired R56 Cooper S.
All I can say is OH MY GOD !!! :) :) :) :) :)
As most MINI people would know, an R56 Cooper S is a very fast car anyway but this has transformed it into a truly incredible car.
The difference in the driveability is great. It pulls in 6th gear from nearly nothing and just goes and goes and goes.
Acceleration is instant and when the sport button is pushed it turns into the devil incarnate lol !! :) :)
The remap brought it from a very good 175bhp to 210bhp and the great thing is that the mpg has also improved !! I got 39.7 mpg on the way home from an impromptu MINI run tonight which is very good. Obviously if you drive it like you stole it the mpg will go down but that's the same as always anyway.
It's not just about the 0-60 times etc etc , its about the day to day drivability ;)
A big thumbs up from me :)

I was certainly impressed with the transformation Ferg , it is only recently the R56 etc can be tuned via the OBD port and I was looking forward to doing an R56 S . We have a few more 'tricks' to release some more Horses and torques when you 'tame' the MINI and feel the need for more :1icon_blackeye: :)

I can't recommend this enough !!

It has transformed my R56 S completely.
It has buckets of power and Massive amounts torque which is what makes it so nice to drive.
