Dr Alex Moulton RIP

Postby irlmin » Mon Dec 10, 2012 6:12 pm

Dr Alex Moulton the Engineer that developed the Mini Suspension systems way back in the late 50s and the Hydrolastic suspension used on the mini from 64 to 69 , as well as the suspension on many other BL and Rover products has passed away at the age of 92 . Dr Moulton also developed and still produced a small wheeled folding bicycle . a real genius who continued to work on updates and new products for the mini , We have supplied and ftted many of his 'Moulton Smoothride' suspension kits which he developed to counter the harsh ride on the Sportpack mini and the weight of the 13" wheels .may he rest in peace .

RIP

Big loss to the engineering world, what an inspirational man.

Maybe we could have a doughnut ( i like jam) run in his honour?
I wish I was on a mission for Mr.Bridger<br>
