JCW r50 sound kit

Postby ross22 » Tue Feb 11, 2014 12:16 am

So the cat on my 02 r50 has finally failed at 125000 miles, cars running great still so thought it would be a good excuse to replace with the sound kit....
Does anyone know if these can still be found, I've had no luck so far, thanks.

You might pick up the bits on eBay every now and then, but to be honest you can make the R50 sound great with alternative bits.

I modded mine with a PlayMini system, but others have used Scorpion and these sound great as well. A lot of the sound kit noise is induction, so you can either add a cone filter (which may then suck in hot air, but sound pretty great), or something like the Pipercross Viper which sounds fab (without the hot air problem).

A remap will then give you smoothness and a bit more power and you are done!

Thanks for the info.

Ive a full aero and a couple of other jcw bits, so would be nice to keep the car as a good jcw example.

If I cant find one ill do a lohen stage 2 kit with miltek.
