What are the best and least expensive options to repair /fix the threading in the cylinder as the threads are worn?I will attempt to do this myself otherwise I'm based in North County Dublin if anyone know of a mechanic who can do the job?

We can certainly do the job but its a trip to Cork I am afraid , what model mini or MINI do you have

the best is fit an 'insert' and this will solve the problem ,a bit tricky but a permanent repair .
