Project R53

Postby Owen » Sun Jun 27, 2010 2:45 pm

I may/may not sell her, but I'm curious to know if anyone's interested. Given the prices that JCWs are still making in the UK, plus their 35% VRT rate, and the fact that JCWs here are commanding high values with only the bare amount of accessories fitted, I'm looking for offers of the late teens. I've spent about 47k on it.

The only 2 things to be aware of are that the MFSW retrofit kit needs to be installed, I have it, and at some point the owner might want to fit a heated seat retrofit kit.

It's officially for sale. 2 weeks here first before I put it on donedeal. I don't expect to have it for long, so if you're anyway interested, make me an offer.

Just in case anyone hadn't guessed already, if you bring in a bog standard R53 JCW Cooper S from the UK now, you'll be paying a minimum 10k Sterling, 36% VRT on the car and all the extras on it, and a whopping 2000 Euro a year road tax.

This makes any JCW in Ireland a very rare commodity, mine especially so with all the equipment fitted to it. Make me an offer people, as much as I'll live to regret it, she has to go.
