I checked it well! only a s/n number - Not the unlock code

I have found a keygen creator for the software that is compatable with mobile phones . As for my street pilot i3 I'm having major problems!

Garmin, I take my hat of to you... You've done something that microsoft have being trying to do for years

When did you tell them you purchased the unit ? . I never registered mine when I bought it and put my purchase date 2 weeks previous to when I ordered the updated maps , it worked and I got the 'Product key' with the disc .

I like your thinking Ger! Great minds think alike

When I got the unit I did not register it until there was an update available – V8. Only did I register the unit and proceed to request an upgrade! Unfortunately I can only do this once in the lifetime of the unit!

To be honest I think it may be soon time to say goodbye to the old reliable Streetpilot I3. Let’s face it, the i3 is about the size of a postage stamp. But then again, who said it was all about size

Is it time to start looking at the Nuvi range?

Just after getting a new Nuvi 710T - really like it so far! Has more features than I will probably ever use but I really wanted the ability to upload the journey log to the PC to make planning Mini runs easier.

Just bought the Garmin 200... me n Si used it on a recent trip to London n i have to say i need to reserve judgement until ive used it a bit more.

The journey down it kept on randomly re-calculating. Showed you going off road as if you were driving through a field!! It didnt like you stopping, it put you sideways on the road then re-calculated again....

Ive plugged into the net and i believe ive updated it so have to see how it goes from now but do any of you have any experience of the above and if so what have you done to resolve it - if thats possible? Any other advice would be appreciated as ive a trip down the country next week so would rather it not go haywire when im by myself

Ta

Hi Shell,
Make sure the Satnav is set to 'Car' and that you have it set to 'Faster Time'. 'Car' setup will make sure it doesnt take you off road!!!
And the 'Faster Time' setup will take you on motorways etc instead of back roads etc :thumbleft:

My Garmin is looking for update now, and will heed all advice. Mine is set on Car and fastest time...... and i still end up going through fields, and parallel to the road that is marked for me to drive on, its funny out. I blame Garmin as these roads should be on it. I just keep going and hope for the best , and it usually works out. PS Mine has even tried send me down a ONE WAY street, i knew better!! Technology isn't always the best way but can be the most amusing when you least expect!
