If You are not coming to Cork soon Rob let us know and we can arrange to send one up from Dixons in Ballincollig with club discount ., best thing about Garmin is MINI have a dedicated hard wired bracket which fixes to the rear of the rev counter and charges and powers the garmin unit when it is in use .btw Sandra in Kearys MINI in Cork stocks the MINI garmin bracket

Thats what I use Rob , very happy with it , bluetooth very handy as you have a handsfree for every car , get the MINI bracket now and that will sort the R53 and use the suction bracket on the Classic .

250 should have the same mapping / software , did You check it You have latest maps , also settings are important ie 'shortest distance , quickest route , and have a look to see if its set for You being in a car OR a truck there are different settings routes for both .

Yup, shouldn't be a problem at all, as long as you still have the yellow sheet of paper with the unlock code for your unit that came with it.
