Check your Airfilter's on your MINI!!!

Postby MiniMpi » Sun Jul 30, 2006 1:00 pm

As I said in a previous post about servicing,
I had checked my airfilter before my TLC service and found it to be quite dirty :o
The airfilter is'nt changed until the "Inspection 2" sevice which is roughly around 70,000km's(43,500miles)!!!!!!! 8O
I had my first "Oil sevice" at 14,133km's(8,782miles) and this(see photo's) is the state of it after such low milage!
I would strongly suggest that all MINI owners who don't service their cars themselves, to check/change their airfilter today. It's only around €15 so won't break the bank and will surely help fuel economy! Very easy to replace, anyone wanting to know/see how exactly I'll post photos of doing it.

Agreed Fergal , I am surprised that air filters are not changed sooner by MINI dealers , We always change them at every service , look at Your 'pollen filter' then You will get a shock !!! it's under the dash .
