Hi All. Just wondering what does that ABS warning light mean? It came on this evening in, my 2005 cooper. Whats the best way to get it sorted out. In Westmeath at d moment and i'm not going to Colm Quin BMW as he is €160 an hour for labour Mark
It is usually caused by a faulty ABS 'wheel' sensor, on some early MINIs we found faulty ABS units but not usually on 05 models , sometimes they can be cleaned but more often they need replacement , a quick diagnostic check will sort it , We can do it in Cork for you at less than half that labour rate but its going to be early Jan before we could look at it . Gerard PS You could try disconnecting the battery for a short period and it may reset it , worth a try .
Thanks Ger I will try that and see if it will work. If not i'll try get to you in January sometime wen I am closer to Cork, might be an idea to get it remapped as well if I get it to you, it might save me on some petrol!!!
No problem, whenever it suits give us a shout , we would just need a few days notice for stuff like that.and remap will help with consumption as well as performance and smoothness
