Engine Remap

Postby MiniMpi » Tue Jun 20, 2006 9:14 pm

Recently got an engine remap done on my MINI ONE.
Got it done by "Irlmin".
It's by MTH who are one of the best MINI tuners out there.(They do all BMW's aswell by the way).
I got the "Tuner file".
This brings the MINI ONE up from 90bhp to 130/135bhp depending on type fuel used,95 octane or 98/99 octane.
HUGE difference in every way to overall running of the MINI.
Pulls like a train from 4000rpm on to 7000 odd rpm 8O
Would defo recommend it,on MINI ONE in particular, more to gain,as Cooper has 115bhp as standard.
Fergal.

MTH Mapping can't be identified by MINI or BMW, and it doesn't get wiped at service time. 200Bhp? lol, Ger'll give you more than that!

So it's pretty much undetectable?

And is fuel consumption helped at all? Not really that bothered, but I wouldn't want it to get much lower:roll:

Just saw that Ger's sig is now MTH, and I'd be very tempted...

Other thing, would I need to get my MINI down to Cork?
