Oil leaks

Hi guys!

I have just joined the website so perhaps i missed the thread where you talked about this but I couldn't find any...
I have oil leaks in several spots of my engine (not exactly sure where though). I was told a while back that there was no point fixing them as it would cost me a lot of money and once fixed, it could break again at the exact same spots. Do you guys agree??? Or should I get them fixed??? At the moment I just check the oil level and top it up regularly...

Hi Elizabeth and Welcome to the site!
Is it a Classic Mini you have yeah?
If so, they do leak in a number of places!!
But more than lightly it is by the gear linkage or clutch oil seal.
Whereabouts are you based? As there is a great Mini specialist here in Cork that would be able to sort the leaks for you

Thanks for repying! Yes it is a Classic mini. It is British Open from 96. I am actually based in Dublin 15. Do you know anyone here who could help me with the leaks?

Ooooooh that is a lovely special edition!
Sunroof and interior trim is gorgeous
I am not too sure anyone in Dublin, but i will say that over half of the customers Ger(Irlmin) gets are from Dublin, Carlow, Mayo etc etc as they will travel to just get the job done correctly first time everytime

No matter what the leak is, it can be fixed and not for mega money either
