Hey all!

I had an nct failure of a failed SRS light. It wasn't coming on when the ignition was on.
Tonight a friend and I whipped the dash out only to find the bulb for the SrS light had been removed by the previous owner. Changed it with one of the dash lights only to find it is permentally on now. I obviously have a fault in the system.
Could anybody shine some light on this. Are there any quick checks that can be made that might be the obvious solution?

Also, if anybody knows where I can get a dashboard light bulb including the red rotating holder it would be much appreciated!

It is most likely the 'rotary coupling' under the steering wheel , common problem I am afraid . we have also seen a few SRS modules give problems . the 'remove the bulb' thing was a common solution that we have come across often until the non appearance of the light on switch on became an NCT fail .

Do you have a rotary coupling and the bulb and red plastic bulb retainer?

All sorted. The rotary coupling wasn't connected to the airbag module correctly. Quick fix. Now ready for the nct retest.
Anybody got any instrument panel light bulbs and plastic retaining caps for a mk7 ill take a few from ya!
