Okay guys....just a quick follow-up message after John's post!
I'll be handling the run from Watergrasshill onwards...and, as always, the plan is dependent on the weather on the day itself!
I actually have two routes sorted (one is a backup route that involves more driving if the weather is bad!)
The plan so far is a short enough route with an activity to be held on the beach - (no need for bikinis though Alvie!) - you will need to be prepared for this activity so please feel free to bring some simple tools....buckets, spades....any equipment you think you might need to show off your artistic and engineering talents on the beach!
As John said in the previous post, the plan is to have a DIY BBQ so bring your own meat....but there is a village five minutes from the BBQ's location where people can run down to get provisions if they wish!
Obviously....we'll have to make other eating arrangements if it's pouring with rain but I'll have that sorted also!
I'll keep you updated on the plan throughout the week....hopefully, we'll have a better idea of what the weather will be like at the end of the week. Look forward to seeing ye all there guys!!

A decision has been made by the Club-E- committee, as a matter of respect, to cancel the MiNi's on track / Run / BBQ event due to the death of a club member's, John Lynch's, Mother.

We extend our sympathies to John and his family at this tough time.

Funeral Details :
Removal, Sunday Night, Killarney.
More Details to follow.

See also Sarah's (Swampette) Post regarding this event.
Thank you for your co-operation at this time,

Hi Guys,
Just a quick note to let you all know that John Lynch's mother has passed away and as a mark of respect for her and the Lynch family, we, on behalf of the club, have decided to postpone the Mini run organised for this Sunday. John's mother actually joined us for the St Patrick's Day run in Fermoy last March and by all accounts, she thoroughly enjoyed herself on that event.
We will keep you updated as to when the run will be re-scheduled so keep an eye out.
Our thoughts are with John and his family at this time.
