Sarah's D.I.Y. Barbeque Run!

Postby swampette » Tue Aug 21, 2007 9:43 pm

Hi Guys and Gals,
Just said I'd let you all know about the club's next run.
I've organised a run for Sunday the 2nd of September, so here are the details!
The plan is to meet at 9.30am on the Sunday morning at the IBIS Hotel (just off the Dunkettle Roundabout), departing at 10.00am.
There will be some good routes and great sights, with, of course, a coffee break and refreshments!!
For the afternoon, I've planned a "hands-on" activity on the beach, combined with a Barbeque.
As the title suggests, it will be a DIY Barbeque, so you will have to bring your own BBQs, food, drink etc. We've arranged for an alternative location if the weather turns on us.
Also, for the beach activity, you will have to bring anything you think you might need for showing a bit of artistic and constructural talent - there will be a prize for the best Sandcastle!
Look forward to seeing you all there - everyone's welcome!
If you've any queries, just let me know.
Cheers, Sarah

I once again will miss a mini event.... .... But I shall be very nice and Give my car to my sister for that weekend.... if I can sort out the insurance for her ... phoned her this morning to see if she would be interested.. I'm guessing from the yelp that she was.

*EDIT 1 hour later

Might be able to go now..... but have a disappointed sister as a result ... as compensation I told her I'd still put her on the insurance for the year instead (shes 23 with a provisional License I hope i haven't just committed my self to bankruptcy ) and the following weekend when i'm away she could have it and the MTI directions for the weekend...

I think We should have a 'handicap' system in place to deal with unfair advantage , perhaps anyone possessing an advantage should be restricted to using a teaspoon to build their castle !!!!!!!!!! oh I suppose We could always kick it over .
