Terenure Classic Car Show - Sunday 9th July

Postby Step_7 » Sat Jul 08, 2006 8:11 pm

Anyone else going to this tomorrow? Supposed to have been over 1000 cars last year.

I've been talked into driving down in the rain at some ungodly hour tomorrow morning in the Paul Smith - should be a bundle of laughs. 8)

There had better be a good chippy van or the toys will be out of the pram for sure!!

Well it was a great day out and well worth the early start and bleak weather! It brightened up and I even visited the Ice-cream van. Chippy was excellent as well!

Some pictures of the day here:

There are some terrible threads running on boards.ie regarding the behaviour of Marshalls. Specifically, some users on boards are saying the Marshalls were rude, arrogant, and confrontational when they tried to leave an hour or two early to beat the traffic.

yep. one marshall in particular got all arsey when people tried to leave. i could understand if it was free and people were leaving after an hour or so but this was 3.30 and people had paid 15euro to show their car (one guy had driven half the country in a 850 Fiat and wanted to get home before 4am), only to be told by some plank that they HAD to stay :D

From the grin on his face I think he meant it! :) I mean it did look like fun but if he'd cocked up he would have ploughed into a big row of classic and cherished cars - he wouldn't have been smiling then...
