Thanks to everyone for their comments, and poor auld Santa got no thanks :) :) . I think it must be the best yet that we have organised. Well done to John for doing the bulk of the organising and safety items.

For the small bit I did get out on the track I had a ball and still discovered some new reactions that the car made in the slippery conditions. Well done to all the Lady drivers who really were pumping iron out there and kept up with the boys. Great to see some new members taking part aswell and putting faces to names. We enjoyed watching ye from the side lines putting yer cars (and not yer cars) through their paces. Again Peter and Greg on the cameras should not go without saying a big "thank you" as holding a camera cannot be as good as holding a steering wheel of a mini. It was a nice event to finish off the year and very well supported as usual.

Happy Christmas to all.

Wow!
The day looked great, and a huge amount of fun!

Will have to cancel everything and head down with Connie for the next one!

Well what can I say to one of the best MiNi’s on Track to date. It was
extremely well attended with 22 cars and 30 drivers.
The early morning start at B&Q was sleepy with one and a half
Santa’s wondering around, but everyone was suddenly awakened
By the awesome sound of Paul. O’Connell’s. Z-Car Mini echoing
around the empty shopping centre and setting off B&Q alarm system.
Within minutes the Guards were on the seen so it was a quick exit in
convoy to Watergrasshill and Kartworld.
I must say that the registration went so well that in no time the first 3
Car were on track and buzzing around under the strict control of
Richard. Catchpole. and Alex. Tracy., of who I am grateful to for
providing their Marshalling expertise.
An excellent breakfast was provided by the staff at Kartworld after
Round 1, again a big thanks. Everyone was now revived and ready
to go on the Track again for Round 2 which was the novelty Round in
which each driver in each team had to retrieve different coloured ring
from each of two Poles placed around the track ,…great fun was had
by all and team ‘A’ won.
Round 3 was back to the thrill and spills of MiNi ‘s on track, with
Kieran.Deacy spinning of dramatically into the gravel and had to be
rescued, And Paul crashing into the tyres. I could write more stories
but that is for another day….
I would like to thank everyone for turning up and supporting the day,
Special thanks to David and the staff at Kartworld, I was happy to
Present David on behalf of the M.C.O.I. A lovely plaque in
acknowledgement of his generosity and tolerance in having us at
Kartworld. I would also like to thank Chris and Giena .Blackham. and
(brother in-law) Kevin for supplying such beautiful plaques. (Pictures
available soon)
And last but not lest Peter and Greg for the super photos.

See you All at MiNi’s on Track 2009. To All our Members and friends a very Happy New Year.
