Cork 100

Well our 1st run is over , What a Day , 25 cars lined up for instructions from John and Richard at the Ibis Hotel in Cork this Morning and what a 'baptism of fire ' it was . 1st stop was the Karting Track in Watergrasshill for 4 laps each as fast as You felt comfortable with IN MINI'S not Karts . an added twist here was the audience yes Watergrasshill was hosting a major kart race and the place was jointed with teams what a shock it must have been to see so many Minis with tyres squeeling and revs rising with loss of traction . from there a nice run over north Cork to Nad for a coffee stop and then on past Millstreet Country Park to Macroom for a late lunch and big screen video of the Track action . I want to personally thank John Lancaster and Richard Catchpole for the effort they put into the run and the 'stroke ' they pulled off getting the kart track on such a busy day was legendary . thanks also to the Lee Vally Hotel in Macroom for sorting valuable on street paarking for us and for having excellent fod and service . all told a brilliant 1st event . now I know there are lots of photos etc to be sorted and anyone who has anything to post please do so .

It was brilliant Con . watch out for the Photos and perhaps video clips . it's been several Years since I was at the Kart track in Watergrasshill and I was surprised how good it is now , new tarmac , much wider than before , and also really safe for a blast ,

I've just changed the tunderpants now. What a day! Well done lads That was the most fun that I have had with my clothes on for a long, long time.1st class in every sence of the word.Well worth the 8 euro 50 cent that I paid this morning for a bowl of co-co pops, much to Owens enjoyment! The track was the bizzzz, delighted with how good the one d went, even with the though of Lynch behind me  A fab route, a bit of misfortune for Richard, but glad it wasn't me at the same time. Lunch was brill and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, some local press cover, what more could we have asked for? One of the best runs ever (no doubt) And a great bunch of people aswell.Once again thanks Richard and John. Looking forward to the next one already.

As everyone has said above.....EXCELLENT DEBUT RUN for MINI Club of Ireland :D
Totally cool "Track day" session was MAD 8) :D
Congrats to John and Richard and all the "exec's" :) for fun filled day.
Even though I did a 12 hour night shift last night, finished at 7 am,1 hour sleep, and straight to the run(dedication or what!!!..any special prize for that??? )I stayed fully awake for the whole run and that must say something about how fun and different the run was.
Thanks to all again.
Fergal.
