Octoberfest could be a good destination for a europe run.
from mid september the beer starts flowing.

Skapegoat, having been to Oktoberfest myself twice, I'm not sure that it is well suited for inclusion of a driving trip... i.e. I wouldn't fancy driving from Munich back to Cork in a mini after spending a few days at Oktoberfest (flight was nearly too much for us!!)

Oktoberfest is a great event, great beers, great fun etc, but I think you would enjoy it better if all you had to do is catch a flight from Munich instead of a ferry 500 miles away.

Totally agree, struggled with the flight myself after I'd been there for just one night :oops:
