Have to agree, fantastic event - plenty to see and do. Many thanks for the hospitality and drinks in the club tent. :1icon_cool:

And most especially thanks for the push start on the ferry........ :1icon_redface: :1icon_redface: :1icon_redface: :1icon_redface: my best guess is that the vibration of the boat set off the alarm and that's what ran the battery down as everything else was switched off as far as I can tell.

No matter, it just made it more of an adventure! Roll on 2011 in wherever it may be :D :D :D

Wow what a busy couple of days!

Barely had time to take in the whole thing while there, wish I could have had another day to wander around the cars again, especially the concepts and the one-offs. Probably would have just ended up buying more stuff though... :)

Thanks once again to Ger and Owen for setting it up for us, we put on a great show as a result and I think we can all agree it was a brilliant event. So good in fact that some of us, mentioning no names...cough...Ferg...Laura...got pretty much no sleep all weekend and now need another holiday lol

My head is still red from the unexpected appearance of the Sun God though, don't know how he got in!

Back home after a long day of travel & a brief night's rest.

Had a terrific time with the entire crew. Two hundred odd photos to sort through and some video.

Great seeing you all. Roll on 2011, I'll be over for MTI.

:D

Well guy's & girl's......What an AMAZING FAB weekend i had at MINI United. I did 957 miles and "Yorkie" went like a dream!
Fun fun fun from start to finish. Much buying of MINI parts went on :1icon_colors: but so happy i did as i fitted the parts today and i'm delighted with them :D
Don't think i could pick a most memorable moment of the weekend but i sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo enjoyed racing "Yorkie" around the Stowe circuit = :) Smiley Ferg!

Thanks to all my friends who attended the event for making the event extra special.

Will upload my tiny amount of photo's i took shortly. (i was having too good a time to even think of taking many!).

Really wish I could have got to MINI United, so I'm keen to get to MU 2011.

I emailed the MU folks via their website to enquire about the venue for 2011.

Their reply said that "There has been made no decission according the choice of location yet".

So I sugguested Mondello lol

Awwwww! It is a shame that it's all over!

And those are great pics Ferg!
They are bringing back so many great memories!

The laptop is acting up, so will try and get my few up over the weekend, when I have to dedicate some time to that whole process! :1icon_eek:

BTW, there was a write up about MINI United in the Irish Times motoring section today:
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/mot ... 85583.html

From reading it, it sounds like the journo was in the Clubs and Communities area (when else was the Greek Lambo door MINI an dthe 69 Riely Elf together?), so how could he not come over and talk to the people on the stand?????

Hi all

Just want to say a BIG thank you to all of ye for the help over the weekend. Especially to Ger and Ferg who stopped at nothing to get me back on the road, I couldn't have done it with out ye and i hope i can return to compliment sometime.

Would also like to thank all of ye for the fantastic welcome expressed to us over the weekend and look forward to meeting again soon. it was great to put faces to the names and see everybody in the flesh. It was a great weekend and well worth the trip.

Made it safely back home for around 4am monday after a few belt adjustments on route just to be sure. Only coming round now after working every day since. Plenty photos to sort and will post shortly.

Thanks again all and roll on the next event
