What would the plan be for this? Run Saturday - Session Saturday night OR Session Saturday Night - Run Sunday?

Or something completely different! :)

Well we may have a couple of options, I will know better after a recce.

It is possible that we could split it across the Saturday and Sunday as the run converges at the same point a couple of times. Thus if the faster folks want to complete the whole run on Saturday they can, with a repeat of some of it on the Sunday, or a gentle run to a scenic spot such as Glendalough they can do that.

For the Saturday though, I am planning a central meeting point for a bite to eat around midday, then off on a couple of manic rally stages before relaxing into some cool scenery. After that is a coffee stop and folks can decide what they want to do after that, either chill back at the halting site oops...I mean camp site :) , or head onto some more tight and twisty stuff to finish up.

Then in the evening I am going to scope out a couple of likely pubs for a bit of grub and a gentle seshiiiooon.

Don't worry about that son...all sorted.

I have invited some small pitches, tall pitches, skinny pitches, voluptuous pitches, pitches with no teeth (for the older gentlemen), and pitches with someone else's teeth (for the less-fussy gentlemen).

If you wish to bring your own pitch, that is up to you...

The 27th is both good and bad for me - Good because I have to be in Dublin that day for a work sponsored event (petrol paid for! ) but Bad because I'll miss the run on Saturday :pale: and Good again because I should be able to make the Saturday night and Sunday run. :bounce:

Time will tell how this plan will work out...... :colors:

That will not be a problem at all. The runs are too long to complete in the one day anyway, and you will not feel hard done-by in only getting beered up Saturday and then doing the Sunday run.

Just a couple of things to finalise then it's going up on the confirmed event page.

Looking at additional activities we can do while you are in the area. There is a place called Hilltop Quad and Sporting Club, where they do quad biking, clay pigeon, rifle shooting, archery etc. Would anyone be up for that as well, perhaps on the Saturday or Sunday morning?

That sounds like good craic. Quads are so much fun. Shooting stuff, do they have real pigeons to shoot.

Only if some of them are unlucky enough to choose the wrong flight path.

You thinking of joining us Oliver?
