I have 10 days to travel France and Germany any suggestion where to start and what to see? I'll be traveling late december or early Jan. There will be two if us and we'll be using backpacks. I know two days will be needed for travel, leaving us with 8 days to sight see. Need suggestions for cities to see and how many days might be needed for each city? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi and welcome to the site ,
I would have a look at the South of France , get to Nice and go from there , Provence is brilliant and there is something for everyone from the 'glitz' of Monte-Carlo to the 'sleepy' villages near Grasse etc , bear in mind the Alps will be covered in snow at that time of year and some Alpine passes closed , I would then travel to the Dolomites in northern Italy and from there to Austria, Langenfeld is good for a quiet break . from there Munich is just hours away and its a brilliant city , how are you travelling ? as it depends on this where I would go from here , give us an outline of your plans to get to France / Germany and I should have some more ideas .
