Field Day and run

Postby leyland » Tue Jun 03, 2008 3:20 pm

A good friend of mine has invited the MCOI to attend a field day in Whitegate on the 10 August 08 between 1PM till 5 PM. It should be a great family day and the proceeds are in Aid of Men's Health Prostate Cancer Fund. The chap running the event had a close scare with this type of cancer and wants to support funds by running the enent. If you are interested in attending please let me know. Maybe we could fit in a run or track day at Watergrasshill in the morning before the event.

Regards

I should think that we could support this event , its not to far away from
us and we may incorporate the East Cork Run or MiNi's on Track the
same day .

Field Day.

Postby leyland » Tue Aug 05, 2008 1:35 pm

Confirmation that we will be attending the first Ballinrostig "Field Day" on the 10 August 2008 between 1 PM till 5 Pm. This should be a great family day-out and the organisers have promised me a good location at the event. We can also have our own Bar be cue at the event if the requirement is there. All proceeds are in aid of "Men's Health Prostate Cancer Fund". Admission on the day is € 8 for adults. If you are worried you will miss the matches on the TV, D'ont be as the local pub will show them. All Minis are welcome to the event and the organisers are delighted that we are attending. They are looking for us to enter a fun tug of war team if we can organise it.

Plan is to meet at 10.30 at Mahon Point and take in a spin on route.
Arrive at 12.15pm and set up our gear.

Contact -Richard Catchpole 087 8074203

(Ballinrostig is a small village near Whitegate, Co Cork.)

Sounds good Richard , I think We should do similar to the Tramore event with the tent / Barbeque / hospitality etc , Alvin might have a chat to His local butcher who provided the food last time .
