Field Day

Postby leyland » Mon Aug 11, 2008 12:12 pm

Delighted to hear all the positive comments coming back about our day yesterday at the Field. I think most people enjoyed themselves and the amount of feedback I have being getting from the organisers about our club and display is fantastic. There are a number of people to be mentioned on yesterday's event who made it easy for the rest of us to enjoy. Peter and Gregg for providing the van and having the stand ready on our arrival, Ger on this cooking talents, Alvin for organising the food at exceptional value. Chris & Sinead for the last minute shopping at Mahon, Chris and Gina for donating the takings of the mini plaques to the charity and Sarah for providing the beautiful spread of cakes for all of us. If I have left anyone else out please forgive me, but thank you . We were able to hand over a nice cheque to the Ballinvostig Vintage Club in aid of the Prostate Cancer fund in the Mercy Hospital. Our new discovered talents at the tug of war will have to be expanded in future events, We may have to draft in JL for the next one, Worth keeping a look out over the next week on the local papers as a number of our members may feature.
Thank you for your support.
