Port Meirion anyone?

Postby Owen » Tue Aug 01, 2006 11:48 am

I was thinking it'd be a great weekend break for the Club perhaps early next year to head over to Port Meirion where 'The Prisioner' was filmed. Looking at their website, it's the weirdest little town I've seen in a while. Well worth a spin I'd say!

Thats the one , I was there last Year and it's weird and worth a visit , would Make a brilliant run as the roads in Wales are brilliant around Snowdonia BUT lethal at Weekends in summer with lunatic bikers , and I mean Lunatic ! it's on the coast south of Hollyhead . and remember 'I am not a Number I am a free Man ' .

Its been sometime since I went there, we had mad day when I was back in College and the tutor didn't turn up, so anyway, we stuck a pin in the map and ended up driving over to Port Meirion in my clapped out mini.

Had great fun and yes the roads are fantastic, I'd be game for meeting you guys there for a weekend of fun.

Its a beautiful part of Wales, one that Jo really likes too, so think she would love it too.

Definitely JL, looking at the Port Meirion websites, it's a quirky little place, and would make for some great photos.
