Checking out accomodation options for the imminent run.

Both options are in the same area, with close access to several pubs, a chippy and a chinese takeaway :)

Both are available Alvin, just need to know how many cabins to book, and how much tent space.

We can circle the tents with Minis to keep the Toros out. Tell Fergal to leave his red silk jammies at home to be on the safe side. Don't want him getting the horn that weekend... :cyclopsani:

Wicklow Mini Challenge

Well guys it has finally happened! A run has been planned north of Cork for the weekend of the 27th/28th September. :)

Planned is to meet up in Laragh, a village close to Glendalough for a spot of lunch before setting off on two of the stages which used to be part of the Circuit of Ireland. This will bring us up to a nice scenic bit of lakery before running down to Laragh again for a coffee. Should be about 4-4 1/2 hours I would say.

Now depending on how fast certain people are going (you know who you are boys...), it may be possible to do stage two as well, either partially or fully, this will take probably another 90mins or so dependant on traffic. Light will be a problem most likely so I would say leave it til day two and go for a pint.
Trust me this will be a wicked bit of road with some great scenery to finish the weekend on...

Accommodation is just to be finalised, should have this sorted this weekend, but planning on both camping and log cabin options whichever place we stay at. Just visit the Planning page for Wicklow 2008 and state what you would prefer along with how many people are coming in your car.

More to follow kids.

BTW make sure your dampers and tyres are in good shape, you will need them working at their best on some of the roads. :bounce:

Hi all,

I know a good few of you are away on some jolly or another, however I am just firming up accommodation for us. I have PM'd those folks who seemed most interested in coming along, however if you have been missed out and fancy coming then please let me know whether you are camping or cabining.

Jeez I hope the weather is as good as it was yesterday, the roads are even more fun when dry. I believe the bridge across Poulaphouca reservoir was washed away with the rain we had, but it is due to be replaced this week :)

Cheers!

Adrian
