Nurburgring Sept. 30th - Oct. 4th

Hi Guys,

Don't know if this is of any interest to anybody.

I'm thinking of bringing my car to the Ring, planning on arriving Sat. 30th Sept.

The track is open on Sun, Mon, Tues.

There is also an idea for others to fly into Frankfurt and hire a car for the three days.

Hi Barry,

I know that, unfortunately these just look to be the most suitable dates at the ring at the moment.

I defo intend going in April/May 07 anyway so that might be a better time for a 'club' visit.

We'll have to wait for the Ring calender to be published in Feb. to decide on definite dates. We obviously can't clash with M**2**7

The other dates for the ring only include half days on Sat and Sundays. I just think it's a long way to go for so little track time.

April/May 2007 will be the next period when there will be a block of days together.

I'd be up for this in 07 8) ...weather is important there too... my brother managed to crash him M3 there last year when it turned particularly wet half way around :( from what I've heard it's not an easy track to drive at the best of times so it might be worth letting my car depreciate a little more before I go ;) :P

Rain separates the Men from the Boys !! , Yes it's difficult in the wet but it is also much quieter than dry days with less bikes , Bikes are really a big problem as they are quick on the straights and brutally slow on the corners .in fact 2 more Bikers were killed there last Month when they came off and were run over by a following car . I might be going over to the Ring in November as I am in USA for 'California Dreamin ' when Tim and Alvin are going over in September .I had planned to make 4 trips this Year and will be lucky to get 2 . We will certainly be going in 2007 though , in fact the Run to France in Sept 07 will take in the Ring on the way back home .

When i went it was damp and no bikes to worry about, it was intersting in the wet, but good fun aslong as you didn't push yourself. It can bite you in the ass can that place. Scary as feck 8O
