IMM Classic & Official Mini 50 Anniversary Celebrations

The Mini Club of Ireland have decided to support this event.
More Details to follow........

Just to clarify the dates and venue of the International Mini Meeting
2009 and the 50th Anniversary of the mini , Aug 7th to 9th.

The event is being run by the Brimingham Mini Owners Club and the
Venue is Longbridge close to the factory of the brithplace of the mini .
Main sponsor is Minisport .

There are other events covering the Mini 50 anniversary but the above
is the main one .

Q. What is the location of IMM 2009 ?

A. The location of IMM 2009 is:

Cofton Park
Low Hill lane
Longbridge
Birmingham.
B31 2BQ


What types of cars are allowed into IMM2009?

A. All types of Mini are allowed, and their derivatives, i.e. Classic Mini ,BMW MINI, Mokes.
Other vehicles such as Motorhomes, caravans etc. are allowed, but if they are not
booked in with a club they may be asked to park in a different area.

Q. What is the cost of the IMM 2009 weekend?

A. The cost will be £55.00 per person, this will include:
Camping
Saturday evening meal
Sunday morning breakfast
Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights live bands entertainment
(More details about entertainments later)
Goody bag on arrival
Access to all areas for IMM 2009 and Mini 50 events

Q. When does the IMM 2009 booking start?

A. We are currently working on the booking in system which will be in place at the end of July 2008.
Q. Can I have a quiet family camping area?

A. Yes. Please state on arrival

Someone asked me .. so just to reconfirm the above , we will start
geting numbers together soon and start planning in Aug, this will give us
a year to plan, booking accomodation is the priority here so it will be
first on the list.

I was talking to one of the lads who is going and was booking a hotel close to the venue , and he said that Hotels are booking up fast , so be warned .... I am booked.

Sounds excellent, put me down for that as well!!! Wonder if we can reserve a whole floor on one of the ferries for the cars to keep them all together :) Would make a great photo, all the cars coming out in a stream.

We are also attending Mini United in Silverstone on May 22/24 th , this is the ususal 3 day event open to all minis and MINIs 1959 to 2008 with lots of stuff going on all days and nights . I have 20 rooms reserved ( 9 left) on a 1st come 1st served basis in a hotel just down the road .lots more details on both events later . as you know Our Ferry partner Stena Ireland will as usual be providing discounted travel for MCOI Members to both events .
