I'm not really sure even where to begin ... but let's see ...
It was brilliant to have the catchup pints with our overseas buddies, Anan, Derek, Chris and Nicole, and of course everyone who travelled down from Dublin and further afield too. The food was of course up to the usual Oriel House standard, but the entertainment was unreal. Robert Farmer's quiz show was brilliant, and it was priceless to watch people trying to hammer the buzzers faster than each other, even if they didn't know the answer!
Fair play to Mary for donating her prize money back to the Cork City Hospitals' Childrens' Club, but for a moment there, I thought Eugene had it won for sure.
After that, the disco was just a tad wild, with Ian Wallace's pole dancing, Alvin's molesting of said pole, Paulie's eloquent falling - which this time wasn't too eloquent at all (Try on a carpet next time Paulie
), and of course the amazing flying spring rolls. Having to get up the next morning for work was a toughie, but it was great to stay out so late and catch up with everyone.
Well done to the photo competition winners, Oliver, Derek and Alvin, and to all the raffle winners too. I do have to say an extra special thanks to Chris Blackham for sponsoring all the prizes again, especially the presentation awards to our overseas travellers for being so dedicated to our Club and coming to every event.
Well done everyone, and hope to see you all really soon again!
