Wish you the best of luck with it though and I hope I'll be able to make it next year.
Oliver.

a quote from this website

http://www.hazelnet.org/tt2002/roads.html

Jeremy Clarkson, the motoring broadcaster, said that his favourite British road was not the Penrith to Corbridge route - "a good road, but too busy" - but, instead, Buttertubs Pass between Hawes and Thwaite in the Yorkshire Dales. "It's England's only truly spectacular road," he said. :1icon_eek:

spent all afternoon finishing off the run notes :1icon_eek: so Nicky can get them online - there will be the choice of a "dry run" or a "wet run" :D

the ford involved is not too deep on the wet run, the routes differ slightly on the way up to buttertubs pass, after lunch the return to Masham is the same for everyone

the saturday run up to Blakey Ridge is a follow the leader run ( you will be given a basic map in case you need it ) there will be a special window sticker for this in addition to Sundays :)

Nicky has posted a link to the notes for the Sunday run on totalmini - you need to decide whether you are going to be wet or dry ?

lunchtime can either be a scenic picnic or stopping at the hostelries in Hawes

Saturday's run is a special one off for the visitors from Ireland who want to drive along Blakey Ridge :D ( and anyone else that turns up )

there will also be a meeting up of the early arrivals on Friday evening in Harrogate as well as the infamous Saturday night at the fair/feast :1icon_cool:

please pm for phone numbers if required
