UPDATE!!!

Postby swampette » Fri Jul 10, 2009 8:41 am

Hi Guys, just to give you an update on the run....
Meeting Place: Opposite the Topaz Filling Station off the Midleton Roundabout on the Whitegate Road - let me know if anyone needs directions to get here - send me a PM with your number and I'll give you a ring and direct you to there from whereever you're coming from.
Time: 10am, departing at 10.30am.
BBQ: The BBQ set up will be a DIY BBQ - you can bring your own picnic - the best option is to get a disposable BBQ as it will easier to pack in the car. We will have a stop in Tesco in Youghal towards the last section of the run so we can buy food for the BBQ as I know it's not good to have meat in the car all morning!
Activities: there will be some activities organised for the beach after the BBQ and depending on weather/time the run will continue along the coast for another section after the BBQ. I will arrange alternative meal plans if the weather is disasterous!

This will hopefully be a fantastic and fun day out for everyone in the family and fingers crossed for sunny weather!! Hope to see you all there,
If anyone has any questions, send me a PM.
Sarah :king:

Ok Guys, hope you're all prepared for Sunday!!! Just checked a weather report and it looks like it will be sunny - there will be a few scattered showers, but hopefully it will stay dry for our BBQ!! Looking forward to seeing you all there - if any one has any queries send me a PM!!

Hi guys,
Just want to say a big thanks to everyone who came to the run yesterday. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had a good time - my main aim was to have a little bit of driving and enjoy the sun at the beach - and we were so lucky with the weather.
Super thanks to Ferg for accompanying me on the recces (and then getting lost himself!!! :1icon_colors: ) and also to everyone who brought tea/coffee/cakes etc for our morning coffee (Chris, your fairy buns were delicious!!!)
Anyway thanks again, and also was lovely to meet some of the new members in the club - hope you enjoyed yourselves!
