Karting Night

Postby irlmin » Thu Aug 24, 2006 9:55 pm

Well Just back form Watergrasshill Karting centre , and again the Club had a brilliant evenings Fun , Stars of the Show were of course John Lynch who was the 1st to send a few karts spinning and the 1st to try the offroad capability of the Kart , speaking of Offroad Alvin resplendent in his Ali G outfit ( I know more like 'Big Bird' ) tried to Mow the grass with His Kart . Rob followed up his 'autocross' exploits at MITP with an eventful session . Cormac ( Sonic to His friends ) wore his 'L' plates on his helmet having admitted to an incident with an articulated Truck on his recent Driving test .all the usual suspects were Present and 20 Karts were on the track piloted by Club Members proof that if events like this are organised People will take part . Special Thanks to Tom Kavanagh ( Minibling ) for the Awards and of course to Richard and John for organising the Evening .

I was delighted with the turn out and support I received for the event. I had a reserve waiting list for people to take part. Great to see the effort some people made to be there especially John Lynch who rang me from Killarney at 5 past 6 to say he was running late. Also nice to see we have proposals from 3 more people last night for full membership.
Andy, sorry I did not get back to you with all the details as I got side tracked. Also nice to see that we have 2 more very strong events coming up in the near future out of our event last night on the 24 Sept and 1 st October -Well done John Lancaster for that.
Finally I would like to thank Tom Kavanagh for coming up with all the 20 prizes as it meant that all who took part got a prize.

Regards
Richard

Get a load of the dirty Jesus looking fella eating hula hoops at the back! Thanks for a great night out everyone. I would also like to take this opportunity in asking for a stewart inquiry to be carried out cause there definitely was a few lads running on some sort of magic fuel or something last night.
