Never thought of posting about this before the event doh!

Well anyway, here's some pictures for you all anyway.

This one was held on the Ards Penninsula starting in Downpatrick and Ending in Newtownards - organised by South Down Mini Owners Club so as usually happens for them the weather was brilliant! 19 Cars in all turned out so plenty of fun and games along the way.

Meet up in Downpatrick - admiring some new Minis.

We managed to take up about half the Ferry, must try harder next time for a Mini packed boat!

Ally's new car is coming along nicely - real retro look going on but with MPi reliability.

Pity the same can't be said of all participants.....

Finally off round the coast.

I was in the reverse situation - wanted to go on the Mystery Run but at the last minute Laura came through with the keys for "Bert" and I changed my mind. Was funny passing Peter in the GP and flashing the lights - he must have been thinking "Has that Classic owner gone completely mad?"

Should really have arranged for the 2 runs to meet up - park down opposite sides of a road for some pictures. 8O

laura...... as in laura-loo???

i wondered was that her car!! cos i remembered her saying she had one of those!

we actually met a lovely classic coming out of ballynahinch..... i beeped.... but nothing :(

the mystery tour was rather good fun........ only had one dodgy moment where i didn't think i was gonna get stopped (downhill and behind the GP)

Yeah, Laura is my sister-in-law, we've had a long standing agreement that I would buy the rest of the car when she got her company car - that hasn't quite happened yet but I've got the keys now and paid her for most of it. I also sold my other classic last week so now have more space to keep Bert in.

I was behind his GP for the second half of the CCMC run and I was scared witless of rear ending him as well! 8O

Now that would be a "Sleeper" all right judging by the engine specs...
