, BIG Chateau for a week near the event site and a run to Northern Italy after MU then the Stelvio , Austria , and a quick call at the Ring for a few laps on the way home .so who is up for this

We're going to try and combine this with a family holiday and make a couple of weeks out of it so need to get planning soon. I remember reading about plans for a Cork - Spain ferry route but I take it they never went ahead with it?

Sounds good to me!
Our plan is for me to drive in the Clubby and the rest of them to fly to whatever the nearest airport is - whether that is Faro, Nice, Barcelona or some other sunny town with a nearby circuit! No way I'm driving 1500 or whatever miles listening to "Are we nearly there yet?" from the back seat! 
If it really is Paul Ricard at the end of June then we'll keep travelling to Italy for the MotoGP race at Mugello the following weekend (via Maranello and Sant Agata hopefully). So many plans to make just need to know where and when........
