MTI brainwave for 2011

Postby Bawnee » Tue Apr 05, 2011 12:03 am

Was just wondering what about hiring out a group of houses for MTI, wouldn't that be fun, instead of hotel rooms? Think there are a few places in the country that you can go.. as in some have self catering cottages attached! I've been to some i think in a past life. I'll start making inquiries maybe???? ;)

Very good idea Bawnee. I stayed for a week in some cottages on Youghal a couple of months back, and the facilities are great. Not sure if the location would be right for what we would normally get up to driving-wise though.

Would be good to have access to a BBQ of course so we can attract the midges as usual!

Aw cheers! Location is important as is convenience, throw out any feedback you wish!

The midges dance, I think it was the men they bit more thankfully, damn lil bugs! Citronella anyone?!

That would be a similar accommodation style that happened for the Wicklow run?

Also the IJ will be staying in cottages in June, so can make a review after that.....

Maybe a little bigger than Wicklow, I'm NOT doing a bunk bed again, I need a decent bed & en suite!! A woman has her standards! Look forward to review D!

I seem to recall one brave gentleman spending that night in a tent while you were luxuriating in your expansive log cabin :)

Just to put an oar in, MTI's committee will be organising the event/accommodation - but we definitely appreciate all suggestions, especially if Bawnee's paying :)
