Charity run starting Waterford Sunday next

Postby irlmin » Sun May 22, 2011 10:09 pm

Miniclub of Ireland have been invited to take part in this run , who is interested ? details below

Classic and vintage run of cars, motorbikes, tractors, lorries, scooters and stationery engines for SERT South East Radiotherapy Trust.
SERT is a Waterford charity set up to provide transport for cancer patients from throughout the south east to attend radiotherapy in
Waterford and COrk as part of their treatment. There are eight SERT vehicles on the road now based in Waterford, Dungarvan,
Kilkenny, Wexford and Clonmel and are driven by teams of volunteer drivers.

The run will begin in the IDA Business Park across from the Whitfield Clinic. All vehicles will gather here from 10am. All vehicles will be
on view for all the family and friends. It makes for a great day out where there will be amenities such as a bouncy castle for the kids.
All are welcome.

All money collected will be donated to SERT. There will be no fee charged to enter but all donations will be gratefully accepted.

The run will be made up of routes around the south east differing for each class of vehicle. The cars and motorbikes will also be
meeting for a picnic in the Dungarvan area where all are welcome again to come and see the beautiful class vehicles.

The event is being organised by many vintage car clubs in the south east who are all coming together to organise this huge event
whish they hope to be the largest classic and vintage run in Ireland. If all goes well they are also hoping to make this an annual event
to raise much needed funds for SERT.
