IMM 2010 - Le Mans - FRANCE

Received the following submission in our 'Send us News' Section. Perhaps a bit premature, but knowing us, we'll have the whole thing planned out years in advance anyway!

Dear Mini Club of Ireland,


A French quote takes all its meaning: “One must not mistake dreaming one’s life and living one’s dreams”. Welcoming this International event in France is a first and therefore deserves careful planning.
There are several reasons why France is the ideal candidate to host this big Mini celebration.

We are delighted to announce that the Esprit Mini Team club are wishing to hold the 2010 IMM (International Mini Meeting) at the famous Le Mans race track.

Please find enclosed a brief outline of our proposed program.

We are hoping that as many clubs as possible are going to support us to enable us to host this wonderful event.

I don't know Alvin, one thing is that a lot of the IMM gang hate the new Mini. Other thing is, to do it right is a huge undertaking or our own member friendly little club could suffer under it (do we really want to get that big)... Lastly, you know us we just like a nice drive, sitting in a field doesn't float my boat....

2011 is up for grabs. This is being discussed at present. We could have it to mark our 5 year anniversary celebrations. Anyone going to Denmark this year in July to investigate?

Denmark this year would be a nice trip... could make a big trip outta it .. From Roskilde - Malmo, Goteborg, Oslo, Bergen -- back through UK .. hmmmm

I was in Le Mans a few days ago, easy three and a half hour drive from Roscoff.
