Boyne Valley Run.

Postby Derfinn » Wed Jul 04, 2012 11:06 am

Hello all,
I'm very excited about this post! I'm typing it up on my phone, I should really wait until I get home!

Anyways, after 4 happy years of Club membership, it has now become time for me to organise my own run. For the craic, like!

So, please feel free to come along to my Boyne Valley Run on Sunday 26th August 2012.

The starting point will be the City North Hotel, located at Junction 7 of the M1. This is just north of Balbriggan.

The hotel currently has availability for people wishing to stay over on the Saturday night. Rooms cost €79 for a double, with breakfast at €10 per person. The hotel can be contracted at 01 6906666 or lo-call 1890 252 420. Please mention the MCoI when booking. But be warned, there aren't that many hotels in the area, and this place books fast...

While the North East doesn't have the nice mountain passes, I hope that the historic landmarks will make up for that!

Please get in contact if you have any questions.

Hope to see you there!

Hi Derek,
Should make this, thinking of a long weekend in Dublin.
Don't know the area at all. After all my MTI trips & reccies with Ger over the years it's great to find new roads.
Looking forward to it.
Paulie.

Oh, that's a shame Amy.
Though, the City North do a park and ride service to the airport!
Enjoy the holiday!

That sounds like a plan Paulie!
And get a long spin in with the Clubman. How long you got it now?

Oh No Ferg.

Sorry to hear that. It's a shame, but I guess it's a difficult time of year to swap cover.

And that's good news, Adrian!
Hope you can!!

Good to hear Gerry!

I did mean to get out at the weekend, and take some pictures, and finalise the end part of the route, but didn't have a chance.

There's always this weekend!!!!

Just been on another reccie today.

Wanted to check the final section, as that was the part I was less happy with.

Also, meant to take some pictures to show you guys what to expect. But, I forgot my camera. Thankfully, the camera on my phone is very clear.

So, I've a few pics. But I've forgotten my photobucket details.....
