The results of the Economy run are as follows

Best Classic ---------------------------------------------- Richard Catchpole / John Lancaster 1982 Mini HL Auto 46.13 mpg

Best 1st gen MINI Petrol ---------------------------- Amy Harris 2003 MINI Cooper R50 61.05 mpg

Best 2nd gen MINI ------------------------------------ Laura Ellis 2012 MINI Cooper Coupe 61.28 mpg

Best Diesel class ------------------------------------ Tim Murphy 2005 MINI One D 75.44 mpg .

Best contributor to the oil industry ---------------- Mike O'Sullivan 1984 mini 1275 28.82 mpg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MCOI would like to thank Applegreen Ballincollig for the kind discount on fuel for the run . the above figures were reached over a very demanding and particularly hilly route of 152km and shows if a little restraint with the right foot is applied Minis and MINIs can be up with the best as regards economy.
