Cork city Children's Hospital run to Fota 2013

Postby swampette » Fri Nov 15, 2013 7:27 pm

Hi guys . It's that time of year again and we have been asked by the Cork City Children's Club to be involved in their annual runs to Fota House . This is a very rewarding event to be part of it and it's a real eye opener into the amazing work that the volunteers do for the children in our city's hospitals. There are three runs this year And if anyone can do either one of them or all of them I can guarantee it will be well worth it ! I will list the three runs below and if you can do any of them please text me on 086 7809456 and specify which ones you can take part in. I do understand that the month of December is a busy one and the event does run on a weekday rather than weekend so I do appreciate if you are able to make any of them . Just to run through the details of each run ... Once you arrive at the meeting place you will be assigned a child /children and a volunteer or parent ... Depending on the capacity of your mini . ... You will not be expected to travel with just the children. You will be travelling in convoy and once you arrive at Fota house you are free to leave although the club provide a fantastic feast for all volunteers so you're more than welcome to stay around for that! So please let me know what runs you can do and don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions ! Thanks a million Sarah
1st run : Tuesday 10th December - from the Cork university hospital : 8.15am
2nd run : Tuesday 10th December - cork deaf association on McCurtin st : 1.45 pm
3rd run : Wednesday 11th December - mercy hospital cork : 8.15 am

Thanks Fergal. I got a few extra photos after yesterdays run around the Fota Gardens.
My car is so filthy because of all the wet and mud about at the moment.
