Thats to 1LightningD for the heads up, I hadn't even thought to post this event in here (very remiss of me, sorry!)
The Irish Job first took place last year in February as a bit of a run and social weekend. We were really lucky with the weather, and about 15 or so MINIs turned up for the event.
We've got a couple of guys coming over for England for this, and it should be bigger and better than last year.
As taken from mini2:
Saturday will be the longer run, with a trip round scenic Lough Neagh with Sunday probably a run to somewhere for a pub lunch so that those travelling back can get away.
***Lunch on Saturday will be a bring-your-own affair at one of the planned stops, so please make sure you have some grub with you!***
Base will be the Radisson in Belfast as it's handy and has a big car park, though there will be a slightly later meeting point at the Lough Shore park (at the Antrim Forum) for the Saturday run for those who won't come through Belfast.
Up to date list of attendees:
Nicky & Derek (with MINI from England)

I had thought of Bourbon for a bite to eat on Saturday night for those who are interested, as it's got plenty of room, and is fairly central so we can go on for a drink somewhere else, what does everyone think of that?
Can you confirm how many you'd like me to book for too, as this will probably need to be booked sooner rather than later

It is very much a MINI event, but I do know Ian is almost definitely bringing his classic. PLease note however that we haven't made any provision for break downs etc!
David Prentice Portadown is interested on getting in on the event, and I'm currently in negotiations with them as to what part they will play. There is a thought that we may raise some money for charity, though this will be confirmed in due course.
