Yorkshire Weekender 7th/8th July

Postby NickyJ » Sun Apr 15, 2007 7:28 pm

We already have some Irish MINI owners coming across for this run but I just thought I'd let you all know about it in case any others fancied it.

It's two runs, through the Yorkshire Dales on the Saturday and across the North York Moors on the Sunday.

Here's the link to the thread on MINI2 -

http://www.mini2.com/forum/uk-ireland-c ... 007-a.html

We're coming over for the MTI event in May, and so is my co-organiser Hat, so if anyone needs any futher information about the weekend please ask us :D

We will be over for this

Of all the runs in the UK< I think its safe to say it will take in some of the most spectacular scenery and roads in England - and nice folk too :)

Looking forward to it a lot ! 8) :D

Looking forward to welcoming you over here Aiden :D

I may be slightly biased, but yes I'd say Yorkshire is the best place in England

Here's a pic from a Run I organised in September, we're using this road again -

and this picture was taken a couple of weeks ago when we did a recce of the North York Moors route (Sunday's run), I hope there's still water in the ford in July  -

I'm a yes too :D

Planning to probably take an extra couple of days, as it falls very nicely over the 12th holidays :D

If the weather is half as good as it loks from that pic, Nicky, we'll be in for a cracking weekend!

Yup, you just have to pretend that there's nothing planned, and spring it on the weather, that'll fool it!

There are currently six bodies involved in

checking out the routes,
mileages,
the watersplashes,
timings,
the sheep,
adding extra route loops,
hump back bridges,
hairpins... ( just for Alvin )
typing up notes,
marking plans,
checking out the pubs,
toilets, etc....

so the easy bit is still to be done......

that is for you all to come along and enjoy yoursleves........

Yes they'll need plenty of money for the fair in our village on the Saturday, it's probably our most expensive weekend of the year! A couple of goes on the dodgems costs a fiver these days
